i agree that it isnt exactly taked about in the Bible that God believes in us, and i agree that its ALL about Jesus!!! but what he is saying is that Christ actually believes that we are cabalble of doing what he wants, that we can be like our Rabbi (Jesus); but not by my strength can i do it, by God's though i can, and what Bell is sayn is that God beleives that with him we actually do it. Whats the point of redemtion if we cant be better than before without it? thats what this is about...

to say that God believes in US, is pure blasphemy. There is no good in man. God didn't save people so they can gloat about how good they are and what they're capable of. It's all for God's glory; it's all about His redeeming work through us. God takes corrupt man and shapes him into the image of Christ and it is God that saves people. we merely are obedient to the Lord by sharing the gospel. It's all about Jesus. Not man

God does beleive in us
ericvandermolen, that's why Jesus (God) left us with the great commandment and the great commission, to do his works on earth even though we a sinners, That's a crazy amount of grace and belief right there! We are the body of Christ, the hands and feet of the Kingdom of God - my hope rests in him but i know he believes that i can live for him.
The Bible refers to Gods people (the church) as Saints nearly 100 times.

i can understand where you're coming from.
but you know if you think of it, if He did believe in us, then he wouldn't have sent a savior. and the infinite and perfectly holy God can't trust in something that is finite and totally depraved.
