I hate to hear people say that black people are meant to be bigger than other races. Okay I understand that races have different physical characteristics but being overweight is not the same thing. Also, I've looked through my parents' yearbook, I could count on two hands the fat people in that book. It's just recently people have started to stretch what thick means. Thick used to mean having an hourglass shape, or having a butt and some hips. Now people stretch it to include obese.

@TonyaTko There is a THICK line between being Curvy and being Precious. Problem is, the black women who are out of control weight-wise want to move the bar so they fit into the Curvy Category. That's where the problems come up. You have too many Fat Black Women calling themselves Curvy and Thick. No, you're fat. If you like the way you are, and don't want to change, that's fine. However, stop trying to Jedi Mind Trick Men into viewing you as Curvy and Thick, because it ain't workin!!!

It comes down to a welfare mentality from black women. "Feed me, house me, give me free healthcare, etc." Plus, they have a "fuck you" attitude to life. Ever notice how slowly black women walk at Walmart or when crossing the street? It's like they walk slowly on purpose as a "fuck you" to everyone else. Black women just don't give a fuck about ANYTHING except welfare. And you wonder why no one wants to fuck ya...SMH

The tragic, out of control, soaring obesity rates in the black community with our sistas can be solved overnight beginning with one thing: cutting out this obsession we have with trying to make our hair look like white peoples'. Cut out the weaves and perms, sistas. You're killing yourselves because of it.

I like a woman that is curvy, not fat. A lot of fat women run around saying that they are thick or curvy when in fact they are fat. I like a woman about 5'7 that fits a size 6 to 8 dress size or straight up medium dress size. Dude that go for these fat girls just have limited chooses.

Another reason that black women have this body might perhaps be that they're more sensual and prone to carnal pleasures such as food for example, but I'm not sure about that since I don't know if indeed black women eat more than other races of women. What is your view thereabout?

In the post-war Western Civilization, they try to impose on us the unhealthy skinny model of woman body for commercial reasons and in order to give birth to unhealthy, half, degraded subhumen (as kids born by skinny mothers). But this is the natural and healthy woman body: The thick model that most black women have.

It's not only due to the black men's preference for fleshy women. It's your physique first of all, your construction: You have a more compact muscular system and also a more compact flesh surrounding around it. Not only this is not bad, but this is the healthy thing for women. That's how a fertile woman and a successful mother looks like.

Funny how so many brothas claim they "like" or "prefer" these out of shape women. So why is it EVERY TIME you see a brotha come up, whether through a lucrative sports contract or record deal etc, they pick the SAME 5' 6" 135 lb. females everybody else wants?
Its all bullshit.
Self esteem, status, environment etc. causes folks to make the choices they do. When their situations improve, so do their options.
Messin with obese chicks is not a black thing. Its a ghetto/broke/low self esteem thing.

@CarvinCole You're talking about your LIMITED information based on what the Media pumps into your eyeballs. I have BEEN to Award show, and in Hollywood VIP parties, and I have seen these men who have "Come Up" with some bodacious Curvacious Tigresses! I've seen some thighs & booties which seem like Feats of the Almighty!
Men like what men like... and Blk men for some reason seem to LOVE BIG BUTTS. I don't know why.
