Motion FX is a great new feature that gives artists and animators access to the power of CHOPS. CHOPS otherwise known as channel operators, is one of Houdinis most powerful features and provides advanced procedural control over everything that moves.

Motion FX can either work with or take the place of keyframed animation. You can add Motion FX to individual parameters or whole groups of channels. Working procedurally with Motion FX has clear production benefits such as the ability to incorporate changes and to generate multiple iterations for your clients.
