The first time I ever heard this song it wasn't being sung by Ray Boltz. It was being sung by a small church piano player who was battling cancer. That was over a decade ago. I couldn't tell you how many times I've sought it out and listened to it since that time. One thing I can tell you, every time I listen it brings back so many times in my own life I've been on my knees crying out to my God with tears, and He is faithful. It's not the singer it's the song. Thank you Jesus. The Anchor Holds.

this song has always touched my heart, but in 2006 we played it at my Fathers services out in the Lake where we spread his ashes.  It will always hold special meaning to me and my family... Also, I seen Ray in concert in my home town, Awesome, truly the most remarkable concert i have ever been too... Not a dry eye in the house!
