Crazy Horse Memorial remembers founding sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski on the anniversary of his passing Oct. 20, 1982, at age 74. The 2011 observance also paid respects to his daughter Anne Ziolkowski and son-in-law James Howe.
@pufunk Awe C'mon pufunk! What's with the snide remarks? Do you realy even know what this is all about? Do you even know about the millions of dollars that was offered by our Government, But the offer was turned down by the Ziolkowski's? These people work very hard day & night trying to acomplish this dream goal! Let's give these people some credit!,...Have a good day!
Now his sons are doing the job... Slowly! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. Did you hear Mr. Ziolkowski laugh after that tiny blast? I'm sure he told them on his death bed, "Finish the job as slow as possible to assure that we will live in luxury for generations to come."
