Senator Byrd has "guts." He has given his life for our Nation and our State of West Virginia. He has represented us well. As I stated in another post, Senator Byrd is far from being "senile." If you only had the integrity that Senator Byrd has.

Just because you disagree with other people's views, that doesn't make them deranged, senile or drunk, Senator Byrd makes perfect sense here and in all his other speechs, he had a sound mind to the very end. Harking back to his past with the KKK and ignoring all he has done since to make up for that youthful mistake 70 years is grossly unfair. H was a great American.

Byrd is perfectly cogent here and playing the political game with some expertise. Amendments like this are pretty common from both sides. You seem like a fairly involved spectator to this process (seriously-not trying to be mean or funny) and no stranger to the process. Please tell me how Byrd is showing signs of being "impaired." I'm afraid I have missed this point. Thanks.

Poor baby.
You end the first sentence with a preposition. You mis-punctuated "others'" (you left-out the possessive aposthrophe). You break the phrase "when you are incapable" with a participle. You are a doofus.
