Part 4 - Service - People need to maintain a diet of nutritious foods if their bodies are to grow and thrive. But what do the people of God need in order to grow and thrive in the Christian faith? In this book, noted theologian and pastor R.C. Sproul identifies five of the crucial nutrients that promote spiritual growth: Bible study, prayer, worship, service, and stewardship. With biblical insight and practical wisdom, Dr. Sproul teaches Christians how to maintain a balanced diet that will lead to growth and mature Christian living. This book is an important resource for new believers to learn these spiritual disciplines and become grounded in the Christian faith in a way that anyone can understand.

  • An excellent video, I do have a suggestion for Ligonier Ministries. Perhaps it is a better use of rescourses to start producing Dr. Sproul's books in Paper backs to keep the price down given he releases so many each year and save the hardcover books for special ones that are rather large. I cannot wait until Truths We Confess is in paperback... 17-24 dollars each volume its just too expensive.

  • I have forwarded your comment onto the head of our publishing entity. I don't want to put words in the mouth of RC, or of my colleagues, but I know they have endeavored to create quality materials with 'old school' style look and feel. It may be likened with RC's desire to worship in a classic, liturgical setting over a contemporary, seemingly 'cheapened' setting. Your concern over price is well taken and I know it is a consideration for every level of our teaching tools. Thanks for your support

  • I just thought I would let you know that today FINALLY received the ''Truths We Confess'' 3 vol. set in the mail and I could not be more excited. I just hope one day to have the opportunity to just chat 30 seconds with Dr. Sproul and thank him for Ligonier

  • Well go for the leather version, a bit more pricey but has better binding. With lots of books one can buy the paperback version and paperbacks survive 50-60 years usually. And in 60 years when I'm 80 I can just scan the book. I assume the copyright will be done by then.

  • I don't like hardback because it's so inconvenient. I wish there was a paperback version of the Reformation Study Bible.
