@ILovestorms So here's how to find a date in the far past... say, June 21, 1909, without having a mental calendar. First, find a date you know in 1909 or in its 28-year cycle. We'll use 1993. Find a date you know. August 28, 1993. Saturday. Subtract weeks. July 31, 1993 Saturday July 03, 1993 Saturday June 19, 1993 Saturday Finally, add two days and you're at June 21, 1993. Monday. June 21, 1909 is also a Monday.

My Christmas present every year used to be either a Weather Guide wall calendar or Weather Whys edand Wonders calendar. I loved the thermometer on top of the Whys and Wonders calendar.
And everybody who is commenting on the calendar, I am a wizard when it comes to that. It's nice to see I'm in good company here. I have this trick where you all tell me the month, day, and year you were born and I'll tell you what day you were born on. Yes, this is true.

wow look at the change in temperatures on the tcf and the regional forecast pages. There was a cold front in the Ohio Valley (hence the range in temperatures between Detroit and Cleveland). I remember waking up on New Year's Eve 1992 to a temperature of 60 degrees and knew it was too good to be true.
Weather you can always turn to... how I long for those days.
