Captain Dan Dare 1950's Trailer

Dan Dare was a very English reaction to the horror comics that were being imported from America in the 1950's. Unfortunatly it hasn't dated well. The rather old fashioned and sexist attitude makes it seem rather amusing today.

Dan Dare was Britain's answer to Captain Video and other sci-fi heroes of the Fifties. His comic strip appeared in the Sunday tabloid. I used to have a Dan Dare pop-up book as a child. The figures stood up as you turned the pages.
