This is a series of quick videos done to provide visual aid for My Core Sequence on my blog http://howtobeawesomeforfree.blogspot... My Core Sequence was developed by me. It's effective. More importantly, it's not sit-ups or crunches, which I refuse to do because they are boring. I grew up with salsa and bellydance, and this was a way for me to practice my movements. Over time, it evolved to be more of a training for dance than just dancing movements. The strong and even core that these kinds of motions build has helped me with posture, avoiding injury, and a lifetime of being the "little guy" in martial arts. As a small person, this has really helped me be strong enough for surviving grappling and for striking (without bouncing off).
Please don't judge my body or my methods. I had recently put on quite a bit of weight for the first time in my life and I'm still leaning back out. 25lbs lighter, I can assure you that my methods work. I'm much stronger than I look right now, so just trust me.
I know, this isn't the best technique I've ever performed, but I was in a hurry and without stretch, warm up, or time to do multiple takes. Please read the post associated with this video (http://howtobeawesomeforfree.blogspot.com/2011/01/my-core-sequence-part-4-upper-body.html) before you comment or ask questions. Full written instructions are in the post. Good luck!
