In just a few short hours this solar thermal heating system is discreetly installed, capturing the sun's free energy and pumping it into this beautiful pool.
Yes, there is one check valve to prevent putting back pressure on the pool filter.
The system ties directly into the pool's plumbing, using the pool filter's existing pump, which is often more than sufficient to provide the force necessary.
The manufacturer provides a repair kit to address any small leaks. I recommend checking with the original installer or a local dealer for possible leak fixing service or for larger maintenance such as removal/remounting when having the roofing replaced. (These type of systems are expected to last 20+ years with very little maintenance. So, they may very likely outlast the roof they are on.)
What I meant was I could be an agent for these over here.? Why not put a saddle valve on the existing pump to use the pump to send the water around with a none return valve-instead of all that digging-Just an idea.
In the case of this specific installation, it was the owner's choice to bury the plumbing carrying the pool water to/from the roof, a recommended option when the pool filter is far from the collector panel array (whether on a roof or mounted on a separate rack). Because these solar heated pool systems do use the existing pool pump, it helps to take these extra steps to keep the installation discreet.
That roof looked pretty high. It uses an electric pump to get the water up there right? Does it have many back flow valves?
