@crankylifter 430 okk.. x4 x8 being? for any exercises ... the body is capable of adapting to a lot but it only does when its forced to.. if youre training it with a specific version ull get specific results if youre going inclines ull hit parts of those muscles while ''neglecting'' others .. so i guess the question would be are you aiming for str or for esthetic :)
I'd be curious if anyone could "weigh in" for me (pun intended) on that perennial of all weight room disputes -- the Hammer Strength hybrid versus free weight differential. I work out with about 430x4x8 on the HS incline press on an average day; I'm just wondering if that translates out to 95x1x1 on a free weight bar. Thanks in advance!
@lordbahari I agree lordbahari, although there's always that little voice in my head that keeps questioning my strength between Hammer Strength vs. free weights. I've have chronic orthopedic problems (sciatica; shattered pelvis/wrist) from many years back and find the Hammer Strength machines enable me to achieve the strength I want -- so long as I religiously maintain form and focus -- with less worry of, God forbid, another injury.
@m5p944 free weights only adds stimulation to your muscle that stabilize ... thats it as for getting stronger you could do machine all day and get same results
Man you're all about machines only. Don't you wanna get stronger? Quit this nonsence and go heavy with free weights. Put 450 pounds on bench press and let meknow how you feel.

@m5p944 heavy weight stimulating muscle and progressively getting heavier = growth. doesn't matter whether it's free weight or not. also, bench press will destroy your shoulders.
