@Shindai I'm learning 1 step now with itf. After a while (so long as it isn't prearranged) you start to learn how to respond quickly to an attack which can be coming towards you from several possible directions. It is teaching me to be faster, more aware and also think quickly about how to respond and strike in return. When I started I could block but had to think for a beat about which point on their body I should attack. That decision does seem to get more simple with practice.
