My beloved friends, students and well-wishers,
It has been a few days since Ramadan began and I know you are well into your ibadah in this blessed month. May Allah the Great enable you to harvest every benefit from this time.
Mercy Mission have been afflicted with a great trial in these last two days -- we have been prevented by various authorities from bringing Ramadan TV, our channel of hope, to broadcast at the last minute. Our planned launch of Ramadan TV has had to be delayed due to last minute legal and regulatory hurdles that basically stopped this beautiful channel from going live on the first night of this month.
We have been preparing for the last 11 months to do our best to benefit you with this special treat for Ramadan. We are a 1000-strong team today spanning the globe, but like the battle of Hunain - Allah reminds us that our numbers mean nothing if Allah decides to test us. Just as Allah has promised: "Does mankind think that they will say we believe and they will not be tested?..." We have been filming across the globe, in Canada, Australia, the UK, Malaysia and India for almost a year. We also have state of the art studios overlooking the river Thames in London. Our tireless team of 30 people worked hard to bring to you something that will, by the will of Allah, delight the whole family and make your eyes tear with Allah's remembrance. However, all of that can not ever give victory. Victory and success is only from Allah. Despite a strong legal team, we were not able to resolve the issues to allow us to launch by the promised date and time. For that, I am solely responsible and I take full blame for it.
However, the team has not given up - not for a single minute. The whole of Mercy Mission has been working literally 24/7 @ 10,000 rpm to resolve these issues and bring the channel to broadcast out for your viewing pleasure in the next 72 hours. The Mercy Mission team is working very hard to keep our word to Allah, to you and to all our brothers and sisters who are eagerly waiting to see our work. I must say that because of this trial, we have become better, stronger, more focused and more determined that ever to make this happen. We will bring the channel to you on air, by the will of Allah, in the next 72 hours. Another email will be sent out within that time informing you of the channel number on the SKY platform and on the Bengali satellite platform InshaAllah. In the meantime, Ramadan TV is now beaming live on the Internet via www.Ramadan.tv and also on our Ramadan TV facebook page walhamdulillah.
Brothers and sisters, there is a reason why we are working hard to bring this channel to you. We are doing this firstly for Allah's Face and then for your sake, our brothers and sisters, whom we love dearly for the sake of Allah the Great. We want you to reap the benefits of the channel of hope. We want you to become more righteous, more pious, more informed and more educated this month. There is no other reward for us except to see you loving Allah more because of something you learnt and worship Allah more fervently because of something you saw on the channel. So join us in putting your hands up to Allah and ask Allah to give us the strength to make the right choices, to turn our difficulty into one of ease and to help our capable and strong team to continue to pursue the vision of Rasulullah on this earth, in spite of the challenges that arise.
