What fine vocal sustain, effortlessly holding out those notes, matched in their finesse by the delicate and artfully smithed emotion of Bill Johnson's steel guitar, masters both, as were all the other members of Mr Robbins' band.

Marty was surprised to release a lot of songs which isn't made a recording in his carrier.
I feels one of this song and I agree Marty had a good ear for a song.

Diane Diekman is presently writing a book about Marty's life. It will be out soon. She did a great job on her book of Faron Young and I'm sure the one on Marty will be just as good. There will be pictures of Marizona in that book...rj

sissyfuss, I'm actually on a mission to promote Marty Robbins and make sure he is not forgotten. I hope to continue posting songs that people may not have heard of his or may be unaware of.

For a change Marty doesn't start laughing during this and gives a really soulful performance of this old country ballad. Shame he never recorded it. Thanks for your comments jhtenvelde.
