What will it take to turn the economy around?
With the stroke of a pen the President could create a 30 hour work week, at 40 hours pay, for all Federal employees. This would create 11 million real jobs. If the Federal government set the example, then the states would follow suit. Then progressive hi tech companies would follow suit. In one year we could turn the whole economy around.

That quoute from Nader shows he not only would've foccussed on Afghanistan, but wouldn't have been more rational in distinguishing between the culprits and the innocent civilians in Afghanistan. Bush went in with an aim not just focussed on the culprits, but reshapinga country int a democracy using war. That turned it into an endless war aswell.

I agree.
In 02 Nader said on Afghanistan:
"Bush burned down a haystack to try to find a couple of needles. He didn't find the needles, but there have been 1000s of innocent deaths." Nader says he would have organized a modest multinational force and sent them into Afghanistan to arrest Osama bin Laden, a kind of police raid. Then he would have tried him at The Hague. "Sept. 11 was an international crime, a massacre," Nader said in 2002. "We should have gone forward with international law."

@ ross1323,
will Ralph Nader end the war in Afghanistan. It's not mentioned on his website. I know he was always against it, and you can find things he said in 2001 & 2002 online. But would I be accurate in saying Nader will end the war in Afghanistan as progressives don't have any alternative to Obama wanting to continue it endlessly at the moment.

Actually, I'm sick of the overstimulating, MTV-style productions we are inundated with all of the time. I like that the Nader campaign seems to throw these old-school clips in every once in a while. Kinda makes me want to call Wally and The Beev in for supper.

Very cool video, and thanks for the chuckle. I LIKE it! Too many people are losing their sense of humor.

I know. What were they thinking. Nader is an excellent candidate. I've been campaigning online to attract the young progressive Obama supporters, and they really like Nader's positions in wanting to cut military spending, wanting to not only end the Iraq war, but END THE OCCUPATION in Iraq, and no threat of war aganist Iran, and like Ron Paul in not wanting to wast US taxpayers money to funf military aid to foriegn countries. He actually fulfils Obama's rhetoric. But this video is a turnoff image.

Pretty true. A younger version would be a good idea. Hopefully they'll air on TV, I read recently that MTV promised air time to any candidate.
House party! Whooohooo! If you bring the issues that face our nation such as single-payer universal healthcare, ending the wars, impeaching Bush, and ending corporate corruption, then I'll bring the vodka! Somebody else should bring the beer and nachos!

As a US Army veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom VII (2006-07) I feel more confident in Nader/ Gonzales in handling the strategies of the conflict in Afghanistan than the current administration has displayed in the last 7 years. Especially since Bush decided to throw the bulk of our military forces into a war based on so-called evidence of WMD's that never existed. Afghanistan would not be nearly a mess now if we didn't divert our attention to an unnecessary conflict.
