Monte Zoncolan Kawasaki Z1000 2010 Parte 1

Giretto tranquillo sulla ripida salita che porta da Ovaro (UD) al monte Zoncolan, ovvero il tratto finale della famosa tappa ciclistica del giro d'Italia vinta quest'anno (2010) da Ivan Basso. La ripresa dalla moto già fa vedere che non è una salita facile, ma dal vivo è ancora peggio... Il dislivello è di 1210 metri in soli 10,5 km di strada; la pendenza media è del 11,5% con picchi che superano il 20%... Non per niente è considerata da molti la salita più dura d'Europa. Il video è stato diviso in due parti poichè al momento del caricamento il limite di tempo per video era ancora di 10 minuti. Prima parte di due. Anche negli stretti tornantini di questa mitica salita la Kawa ha dimostrato una buona maneggevolezza. Gran moto.

Walkaround on the steep uphill that takes to the Zoncolan Mount in the north-east of Italy, which hosted a stage of the cycling race "Giro d'Italia", won by Ivan Basso this year. The motorbike's pov shows already that's not an easy uphill, but live it's even worse... The drop is 1210 meters in just 10.5 kilometers; the average inclination is 11,5%, but the tips are well over 20%, infact it's considered from many the hardest uphill of Europe. The video has been cut since the time limit was 10 minutes at the moment of the upload. First part of two. Even on the closest curves the Z showed a good handling. Great bike.

Bel video anche noi abbiamo la Z1000 e stavamo cercando di capire come fosse lo Zoncolan per un giretto turistico domani.... adesso le idee sono più chiare grazie!

@chi3nshin Prego, mi fa piacere che il mio video vi sia stato d'aiuto! Poi volendo c'è anche l'altra strada, quella che scende dall'altro versante e arriva a Sutrio, ho filmato anche quella in un altro video.

in 2:32 there are a cross road. If it's the first time look easy to take the wrong street (straight). ¿there are a poster or other sing to summit of Zoncolán?. I will go in September

@kinered I'm not sure, but i think the road at 2:32 dies 99% a few hundred meters after the crossroad, it takes to the venue of a food company. Anyway to find the way of the "Giro d'Italia" you must look for Tolmezzo or Villa Santina and, at last, Ovaro, then you'll see the road signs there. If instead you're looking for the other way to the Zoncolan there's the road from Sutrio, at the other side of the mountain, i did a video on that too.
