so you took the back straps and left the rest so wasteful. I was thinking as I watched the video, man those guys are going to haul their guts out getting anything out of that tangle but i guess that was a moot point since you just left the meat to rot

Awesome adventures! I spent a few weeks up in your backyard last fall and love the area. I think your use of dogs is a plus to the entire experience and I'm looking forward to the day we can follow suit in Alberta. As of yet we are not permitted to use dogs while big game hunting but are looking to have this law overturned this year. Keep the great videos coming!!

Awesome videos, Trev! That was an amazing hunt too! Looking to take my first elk this year. And ya know, I gotta say. To all who have a problem with calls and how to do it right, look at what happened. The only bad call is the one that doesn't draw them in. Apparently this calling sequence was a good one because the results show differently. I'm not knocking the comments or the people who had problems with it, just trying to bring a different perspective on the pictures. Nice, Trev!
Trev, you rock man. I just found your channel today.
Your vids have that je ne sais quoi. Keep it up bro. Stay safe.

Awesome video Trev. I like the gutless method but have never tried it. How much meat do you figure each dog packed out. As for the negative comments about the bugling, I will say the bugles were a little sketchy but I have found if you don't over do it the sound isn't as critical. I don't claim to be any expert, but the bull I got this year gave out the worst bugle I have ever heard, by hunter or elk. I drew him in to less than 50yds once I got in the area I thought he was in.

@Cavemn94..too active or responsive. Generally speaking I still hunt river bottoms or stands of timber quietly, into the wind and let out sweet cow calls, wait, listen and then sneak on. The bush isn't a bugling contest, we are not trying to impress humans, merely trying to outsmart the elk. No two bulls act exactly the same. :-) Shoot Straight! Trev
