  • In the intro,Neil speaks of Falcon Lake,it's a provincial park and campground about 40 east of Winipeg,Manitoba along the transcanada highway,I was stranded there for 5 days back in 1976,waiting for auto parts to fix a breakdown. My friend and I were both 17,just as neil was.Spent a lot of time at the same cafe he mentioned (must be,as it is the only one around there) Also played the jukebox there as he did.Not sure if it was the same jukebox or not,as we were 12 years after the time period

  • @davelw77 i think i have to see that place too, thanks dave

  • I like to play it over and over and over. Its like it belongs to Neil Young

  • @steves4841 thanks, it's IAN TYSON's song

  • I've always loved Neil Young's outlook on life and he's not a bad singer/song writer. Not to detract from Neil Young, but I like the Johnny Cash version......very good

  • emersonkid8850 " q "a program on cbc radio poled its listeners as to what other song would be their second choice for our national athem ...and "four strong winds was the overwhelming choice...great canadian song penned by a great canadian songwriter..and sung by a great canadian legend....
