  • how does it fly with the motor in the back??

Also I bet its heavy with that battery so it probably flies pretty fast, how does the dihedral do in high speeds?

    Thanks

  • @DJOgurchik It flies really well. Nice control during low throttle and strong enough to handle the faster speeds. Flies just like any other glider. The only thing is you have to keep it nose heavy. Instead of adding weights, use a higher capacity battery; plus longer flight times. Thanks for watching.

  • Where did you find the CG to be after flying this bird? I just got the same glider :D

  • @RoboTekno 3-4" from the edge of the wing near the fuselage :)

  • okay its not really ten buck cause you need to buy the remote and the parts to put into the plain lol BUT REALLY COOL

  • @RobertoPCarro the 370 or 400 will probably be better, just in case when you get into trouble and need that extra power to get out of it. Since the plane is big, these motors can easily take 3 cell batteries.

As for the transmitter, depends on your budget. If it's not an issue, go for the Futaba or JR Txs. For budgeting, go for the Spektrum models. I rock with the spektrums cause thats what I started with and never had any problems. Google is your friend on the different models you can get.

  • @cthephasone Thank You for that info. Looking now at them do you think the rimfire 250 with a ss-25 ESC will work? I think after that I will need the servos and the controller. I was thinking to buy HS-55 servos but then I don't know what controller I should buy. Any ideas?

  • @RobertoPCarro Any motor will work, just keep it light. If you decide to place the motor at the rear of the model, you need to keep it light so you don't end up tail heavy. Any motor that draws 150-200W with a 8-9inch prop will do. Don't buy the shitty motors from china because the glue that holds the magnets inside melts and comes loose causing it to malfunction. Not a good scene mid-flight! I recommend Electrifly Rimfires and any E-Flite motors. Get a high amp ESC to prevent fires too, lol

  • I'm new on this and I need some input from you guys. What type of motor should I used if I'm going to do the same with mine?

  • the orange and yellow wires go up on the ar500
