My Honda CX500 erupts from my garage in an explosion of bad taste and overweight plastic. It's a bit like lancing a 200 kg boil. My 7-year old son is chief cameraman.

  • I just bought a 78 model that has a full wind jammer farring on it. It needs a little TLC on the carb but other than that it is still a great old bike. Yours is in much better condition though!

  • Hi funkeytoad08 thanks for the comment. If you haven't had a full fairing before, they feel a bit awkward at first but don't be in a hurry to take it off. I once had a CX500 with a full fairing on it (Rickman Polaris) and it was the perfect winter bike - it created a bubble of warm air behind it. And it was great getting off the bike after a 500 mile day with no aches and pains. Hope your carbs work out OK. At this age they often need very careful cleaning, new air cutoff valve diaphragms, etc.

  • pæn cxér!.....er det til at få dele til den?

  • Tak! Ingen problem - mange dele kan fås stadigvæk fra Honda, mange kan fås fra andre leverandører via Internet, og der er et stor brugt marked, hvis man har brug for en del, som ikke kan fås ny.

Getting parts is not a problem.

  • I've been thinking about finding one of these. They are truley nice looking bikes. Your's looks fantastic.

  • Kawa 250 Triples also look and sound the business, as do all those 70s two-stroke triples!

  • Funny you should mention the air cutoff diaphragms! I have been putting a lot of work into this bike but I still had this issue with the carbs running too rich on me that I could not find a fix for. A fellow on a web forum told me to check the ACV and he was right! I found a tear in one of my diaphragms. I thought of your comment right away! Thanks.

  • In fact it looks better through a video camera at a distance than it does close up but cheers!

  • smashing bike that mate.

  • Haha. I like the caption.
