A rather boring and badly played part in my opinion. We find the mandatory Flying Armor soul which lets us sail through the sky for a while longer and by this makes certain spots reachable. We also find a hidden passage behind a breakable wall, a common feature in Metroidvania games. A while later, we meet Graham, another character of this game, who tells us a bit about Dracula and the castle itself. He leaves and lets us continue to the Chapel. I explore a lot here so we don't make much progress yet but that should come in a while.

Note on souls: When you slay an enemy, you have a certain percentage of a chance to absorb the soul of the bad guy you killed. Every monster in the game has a very own soul to collect. The souls can be used by Soma to gain various skills (like the spears that I throw all the time for example). There are three different kinds of souls: red, yellow and blue. Red souls are for manual use, yellow souls are passive souls which have their effect on all the time, and blue souls are toggle on/toggle off souls which you can use by holding the R button; the usage of the soul stops once you let go of the button. You can only have one soul selected at a time for each type. Using souls costs MP (green energy bar at the top of the screen). MP are replenished by collecting hearts which may appear when you destroy a candle or another source of light (common in Castlevania games, in case you're wondering). Also at times you find money which can be used later on in a shop inside the castle.

  • SPoiler: Soma is dracula's good reincarnation

and i really love his ability to take souls and use it as his weapon

  • @myunchama dracula is usually protrayed as a human who was loyal to god at one point...however there are a lot of different versions so i have no idea if it pertains to this version.

  • Uh...maybe it's just me, but does anyone else wonder just why Dracula has a chapel in his castle? I mean, it's not like anybody would use it...

  • Graham the devious missionary. Didn't see that one coming LOL!

  • heaps good walkthrough !!!!!
