  • Taking better care of yourself is NOT betrayal to anyone. Those plus-sized people who may be giving you a hard time need to check themselves and get a grip on reality. I'm very proud of you for doing what is best for YOU! :) Keep up the great work!

  • Also wanted to say that I totally support you on your journey to health! I am not plus-sized, but definitely an ally of the plus-sized community. You have motivated me eat and be healthier as well! = ) I bet the people who are criticizing you would be really sad if you could not longer tour and make music because of your back! Keep going!!!

  • your absolutely right. it turns out that the fat acceptance movement isnt about wellness or acceptance, its actually about low energy vibration people sucking each other down with them. its awesome that you are eating healthier, keep goin and never let these negative people keep you down

  • Look.....just because you loose weight doesnt mean your not still fat in your head.....people dont realize that your mind is still the same...just cuz your body is different doesnt mean you dont feel the same way, think the same things and want the same stuff....your not betraying anyone but yourself when you listen to what other people say....no one can argue that losing weight is a health issue...how come no one addresses the mind when it comes to losing weight....its more than size people

  • I feel that whether it's for health's sake or vanity's sake, as long as you love and accept yourself for who you are, you're golden. Fuck what other people say. If you want to be plus-size, mid-size, or under-sized, go ahead. Just be healthy and love the hell out of yourself while you're doing it. Only do it for yourself - never for someone else.

HAES is health at EVERY size. Not just plus-size, though that seems to be a focus.

@ least that's what I get from your videos. =)

    I love you!

  • meghan u r awesome for trying to get healthy for the benefit of YOURSELF! you are having extreme health problems with ur back and all that and you have realized that there are lifestyle changes to be made so you no longer have that pain! you have my support! :)

  • @melsweetie84 AMEN :)

  • those people are so wrong. You are being a positive example.. no matter your weight someone has a problem with it. My biggest fear growing up was always being called fat, and now that I have lost weight everyone complains im too skinny.. but I like it... If people are complaining it is a problem they have with themselves.

  • Since seeing you on Ellen, Finding you and Project Lifesize on facebook and twitter - You've inspired me to be ok with my weight. I'm a big girl who's trying to change the way she eats, but trying not to focus on being skinny,. I think the message your sending out is an excellent one. Regardless of size, it's all about acceptance on every level. and I thank you for that.

  • imo, I have skinny friends that have always been skinny who I consider in the plus sized community for the simple fact that they know I have medical conditions that prevevnt me from losing weight, and they understand that and stick up for me and others, spreading the truth

Ive kinda always dreamt of losing weight, then befriending all those shallow ppl, show them what a good person I am, then throw it on them that I used to be fat and was the same person, but I feel that would make me shallow

  • I prefer larger women and hate to see them lose weight, but I absolutely respect their right to do so! It's your choice, hope it works out for you.

  • You really are incredible. I love that you can look at yourself and those around you and actually notice and acknowledge that sometimes being "accepting" really turns into something else. I loved this entire video. Keep doing what you're doing because you deserve to be healthy and to live a pain free life. Forget those who are trying to bring you down and keep focusing on becoming a healthier you :)

    xoxo
