This is the 48 Hour Film produced by the Fighting Squirrels for the 2011 Des Moines competition. Category is Mockumentary, prop is marshmallow, line of dialogue is "open the door" and the character is Kelli McBride, teacher. The film won "Best Writing" for Des Moines, and also an audience choice award for its screening group. And yes, we meant to screw up South Dakota on the map.

  • I saw this at its initial screening, and couldn't stop laughing! Glad y'all posted it on YouTube, so I can share it with others.

  • This film was voted as the 'audience choice' in its screening group for the 2011 Des Moines 48-Hour Film Project. Props to Thomas Ritchie and his pesky gang of squirrels. BTW, the guy in the fedora and sunglasses looks eerily familiar, but the Mississippi accent is a bit overdone.

  • OK, now I'm waiting for Dateline to pick up this story, only they won't do it as good!

  • Liked it and then he said "Dag-gum," now I love it!

  • Great job, guys. I laughed hardest at this during our group's screening.

  • very well done

  • Can you count on Mississippi??
