...he could have simply bought them all from the slaveholders with tax money and promptly freed them... and it would have cost nary a drop of blood. While I'll give Abe that he was a smart guy, he doesn't really live up to the ethics that American history books ascribe him. Add to that the evidence that points to "the great Emancipator" being quite racist in his letters and pre-Gettysburg speeches.
Ron Paul's peaceful and rational discourse is more comparable to Franklin or Jefferson. :)

good video although comparing Ron Paul to Benjamin Franklin is a bit of a stretch. I'm for Ron Paul but if you've ever read Franklin's autobiography and other works he really was a mountain of a man who's wisdom was centuries ahead of his time

I'm not equating Ron Paul with Ben Franklin. Time will do that.
I am only depicting how Ron Paul follows his ways and wisdom.
At the end they are together but Paul is looking at Ben as if for guidance. Something we all should be doing.
