The Norsk Hostfest in Minot, North Dakota, draws thousands every year. The Scandinavian festival offers lutefisk, mojakka, lefse, and even German fleishkuekla, along with musical acts like Sissel, Myron Floren, and Daniel o'Donnell.

  • It may be because all Americans, other than Native Americans, come from someplace else. And our ancestors came from "someplace else" relatively recently.

  • It seems that Lutefisk is more popular in USA than here in Norway. Why are Americans so eager identify themselves with their ancestry?
