Oh, such a wonderfully well-behaved, and well-trained Dobie! You did a WONDERFUL job on your dog! I might ask you for help for my first dog!

Man , my labrador is so crazy and wants to run like hell, and your doble it's sp well tempered, awesome and cute with the kid
Very well, in fact dogs are better of lead by verbal commands than a choke chain . My rottweiler can be seen at "Rottweiler went hiking", no chains at all.

@168mightymark I will check that out, I love Rotties! And you are very right about the training method. Because Apollo was trained with no chains and a slack leash he is as obedient off-leash as on. I could've done this video without the leash but I do like to use it as a safeguard; he is a dog and dogs are not infallible. But my point is, if we are walking and I reach down and unhook the leash, nothing changes. It is his training and myself that keeps him by me, not a piece of nylon.

Good video. I guess the dog would be pretty intimidating to someone who didn't know how genle he actually was. I know I'm very careful around dobermans and dogs of that size

@musicianforjesus I don't blame people for being scared of him before they meet him (I love him to bits but I realize he is a big dog and some people are scared of big dogs), but on my husband's side there are some family members who refuse to visit the house because of him. :[ It's really sad and ridiculous. He is five years old now and has always been this wonderful but they won't give him a chance.
