Trakanon Solo Kill - Necromancer

I SUGGEST WATCHING THIS VIDEO IN HIGH QUALITY!!

One of the oldest bosses in the game, now one of the funnest things to solo.

The fight was extremely simple. I was 76 at the time in the video, using the level 72 tank pet. He's buffed by my spells only and is holding 2 Jagged Rageswords to better hold aggro (which wasn't a problem anyways).

Basically my pet solo'd this fight, since if I were to do ANY damage at all to Trakanon then I'd be banished and surrounded by a ton of mobs.

So here's the fight from the Necro's point of view, it's just a heal fest =]

And just in case people are wondering, the video is sped up to 2x speed and my pet has all his crit AAs (but not the flurry AAs)

Probably! You'd have to clear out the room where he banishes to and would have to clear the whole path leading to it, but I bet a beastmaster should be able to do it no problem

you should have just burnt him down... Lifetap tank is easy with this joker, he hits for around 400 if your AC is low.

I usually just burn with RK3 pyres and curses, and it's dead in 2 or 3 tics

I haven't played EQ in a while, but when I last did he still banished.

I got a 80 necro with the Feign death AA so its like instant. Is this how you avoid banish ... with FD?

No, I actually didn't need to FD in the fight at all.

As long as your pet is the only thing that is damaging him, then he won't banish.

But that's why it's a lot fight: I didn't cast any DDs or DoTs on trak. The only spells I casted were pet rune and pet heal.

@GayLPer: Because Necros were KOS in a significant number of places, and difficulty recommendations were based on starting faction, not solo ability.

@smokeyvv Yes, dot him with fire and FD.

I used to farm him back in Oow days on my necro at level 70. He doesnt regain much, so dots will eat him up. Keep pet on, so if u get banished while trying to land dot, you just run back before it dies =p
