Burning Man 2008 White Out Saturday Afternoon

this is looking at the pimped out porta pottie, with the singing fish on it.

During the whiteout 3 burners took refuge in the porta potty while a wheelchair burner waited and waited for them to come out. Another burner FINALLY knocked on the wall, "Someone wants to use it!" "Can't they use another restroom?" "There's only one handicapped bathroom!"

They came out, retreated to smaller porta potty. They checked once if wheelchair had come out so they could return. She hadn't. She exited, took pic of inside of pottie, then someone else arrived to use the pimped handicap porta potty, then the group of 3 jumped out checking and were surprised handicapped porta potty was still "occupied". LOL, happened a couple of times.

Then the 3 got possession of the porta potty again, and a line formed of people wanting to use that bathroom.

One of the three peeked out, but didn't open the door wide enuf to see the line, and closed the door. LOL. The line shrugged their shoulders and moved to another porta potty.

The three stooges finally abandoned their pottie a call.

There are many things I love about dust storms, but the best thing about the ones that occur on Wed-Fri and last more than a day, is it gets rid of the people who can't hack it, unless it's for a medical condition like asthma, less weekend frat boys and yahoos, who decide 'save their weekend while they, can since this may never end, and there's that cool party at home'. Plus due 2 all the people leaving early, exodus is faster.

2007, I think it was, was the worst. Packing up & trying to find my way to the exodus line. Ugh! Was that the year of the dust storm that started Sunday or Monday when everyone was packing to leave and cont. for a good part of the week, leaving DPW with a tougher than usual job? White outs are a main part of the charm, xcept 4 when they go on 4 days, or when they last over 12 hrs on the day you arrive, so u need 2 setup in it or shack up w/some1, or as mentioned above when packing 2 leave.
