Money may be the most important thing in most people's lives but it is surprising how little people really know about how money works, where it comes from, who creates it and who believes in it.
One of the basic tenets of modern economics is the 'miracle' of compound interest. Like a number of other miracles the principles of interest don't stand up to examination.

Money for Nothing was made in 1982 and besides giving the historical development of worthless paper money but also specifically
deals with the monetarism of the Thatcher era in the UK.
