DISCLAIMER: I know there already is another NES remix of this on YouTube, but I didn't feel it did the loop's justice enough, so I tried to make my own. Also, I needed something to do.

Sorry for the short loop, I was trying to keep the filesize to a minimum since my Internet connection really sucks.

Sound made from scratch by myself in FamiTracker.

  • The sprite is possible with 2 sprites, the gold will just have to be on a 2 sprite and 2nd pallete.

  • @GXSCChater Yes, I'm aware. I've said this in a comment response.

  • Fun fact: The sprite is impossible to render IN ONE PIECE on the NES, but if you use two objects and change the palette between scanlines, you can have this on the NES with the drawback being that you can have one less object in each scanline.

  • @tkwtube01 Additionally, another method would be overlaying 2 separate sprites with the excess color (thus eliminatiing the need for scanline sorcery), someone told me that some time ago.

  • That's what I meant when I said "two objects", because I realized that using one object and scanlines is not possible where his mouth is, as it takes up four colors NOT including transparency. But again, this means you can have one less sprite to use for enemies and powerups, etc.

  • @tkwtube01 Well yeah, that's right, but I just meant that by overlaying two objects you don't really need to do anything with scanlines, as long as each object has its own pattern.
