Political Science, Northwestern University

Victor C. Shih teaches political economy. He is the author of Factions and Finance in China: Elite Conflict and Inflation, the first book to inquire the linkages between elite politics and banking policies in China. Prof. Shih has published numerous articles appearing in academic and business journals and frequent adviser to the financial community on the banking industry in China. His current research concerns Chinese banking policies, exchange rates, elite political dynamics and local government debt in China.

  • China is the next Japan with an unbalanced economy and much lower per capita level.

  • China's economic "miracle" is based on poisonous toys, fake poisonous eggs, political/religious dissenter slave labor, fake poisonous grapes, fake poisonous infant formula (which killed many babies), copyright violation black market d.v.d.s & c.d.s, patent violation car designs, fake designer clothes-shoes & handbags, violating international weapons control agreements, human trafficking, currency manipulation & poisonous tooth paste.
