  • @TheManolakis Actually, I doubt it. Since Elmore James was originally from Miss, I believe the song was named after Madison, Miss. There is even a whole county in mIss with the same name. Although, it is also possible he named this sang after Madisn Wisconsin because EJ moved north to Chicago - a hop-skip-jump from Madison Wis. Many other bues musicians from that era also migrated to St louis, and then later Chicago. Hence the name "Chicago Blues."
