The thing is, that once they say these terrible things about Obama, the press picks the comment up, but the apology carries nothing in terms of being heard by anyone. Moreover, he comes across as totally insincere, which he obviously is.

Moreover, this particular congressman obviously cannot think on his feet. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
