This is a series of images I selected from different websites set with images I 'painted' using an inexpensive graphics software package. I did this project as part of an English course that focused on writing/communication through social media venues. I wanted to say something regarding some of the social media and web 'noise' that was produced both during the earthquake that devastated parts of Japan, as well as during the aftermath. This is simply an opinion - one person's statement - take it or leave it. In the end, the words that matter most are those spoken by the survivors of the earthquake and those spoken on behalf of those who lost their lives. When compared to these, everything else - the pictures, the headlines, the vids of devastation, the stories, etc., including my opinion, are simply 'noise.'
