Requirement for 3rd Dan Black Belt

Rick Brown, 3rd Dan Black Belt and owner of Brown's Karate Academy of Carlinville IL, performs Nai Han Chi Hyung Sam Dan. This is the fourteenth form learned in Tang Soo Do.

Nai Han Chi Sam Dan

When performing Nai Han Chi Sam Dan, key points are:

1. The form is in the pattern of a Straight line, all movements are side to side

2. There are a total of 27 movements, not including the Choon Bee at the beginning and end of the form

3. Turn the head before moving the body

4. This form is basic in nature, there are no kicks represented -- all the techniques are hand movements

5. Ki Hap sharply on the last movement

6. Breathe out sharply on each move, breathe in between the movements

7. If performed correctly, you will end up in the same spot as you started from

8. The entire form is done in a saddle stance

  • Go back and relearn your basics!!

  • @376tke Well, coming from a practitioner of "Take Your Dough", I mean, um, Tae Kwon Do, that is saying something. I looked for your videos to see how bad i am compared to you, but alas, there are none. Shocking. Now go back to your playroom, little child, and watch cartoons.

  • now slowmotion so we can see all teqniques and how to preform them

  • @tonnis39 I am planning to do several videos shortly with much more detail.

  • @tonnis39 I agree with you, Tonnis...I hope Rick does upload a slow-motion teaching vid of this form. Personally, I enjoyed the vid and am disappointed in fellow martial artists not being gracious to the host (rick) for supplying it. Cumup soo mi da, kyo sa nim Brown.

  • @ricktsdmdk nice because it is a really nice video to see the several techniques to learn them
