  • I am currently enrolled in the RN program and doing clinicals...the hospital atmosphere sucks! The nurses are very rude and have no ethics what-so-ever. I am thinking of quitting the program. And get a degree in Biology-field. i want to stay sane and stress-free.

  • importing nurses is driving the pay down.. i swear right now new grads are seeing frozen salaries that are below 50,000 a year!!

  • See nursing nightmares on youtube and see WHY we need not only more nurses, but BETTER TRAINED NURSES for home health care. California is releasing thousands of developementally disabled and few nurses can handle severely autistic population! California families need GOOD cnas and lvns to help keep their children OUT of institutions.

  • FILIPINO NURSES ARE THE BEST

  • How can this website, in all good conscience, post such a video? New grads, both 2 and 4 years, are being pumped into the market without regard for its needs. It costs a minimum of $22,000 to hire a new nurse (or so we were told by an instructor). New grads from 2008 are still looking for jobs as they have to be precepted and because this is expensive, few hospitals are willing to hire. I grad from a 4 yr school with honors and have not even had an answer to a resume

  • It's really unfortunate that some nurses eat their youngs :(

  • Nursing sucks. Stay away from it unless you like being abused.

  • @shelyr It really bothers me that you have not been supported as a new nurse :(:( I am often a preceptor to new nurses who have shared your experience. I implore experienced nurses to SUPPORT and TEACH our new up and coming nurses. FOLKS THESE NEW NURSES ARE THE FUTURE OF NURSING !!

  • (continued)....In some areas no doubt some nurses today are burned out trying to meet 48 hours of work into 24 hours of work. Instead of giving up, be part of the solution. The unspoken credo of nursing it to support one another and do what is right.....I have been a nurse for 8 years and have done many specialities and I am sane....stress-free? Who is these days in ANY job???

  • @lachilangitaloca You may have had a bad experience. If you do not like the "culture" of nursing as you see it...then stick it out and become part of the new change in nursing.
