  • Since Rover packed it in, the Maestro was then built in Bulgaria, Herefordshire (in kit form) then China from around 2000. The Montego had a brief spell in India, as well. I actually converted a Maestro in the style of the Chinese cars, by fitting a Montego front. Typically known as 'Monstro' mine was the first hatch, with only one other known of - there are as many van conversions also...
