I think that doing things the way they did in '07 at this publicly owned institution just reflects the need to ease people into the idea that they aren't free any more to speak their minds, as the other guy said. The uniforms still needed cover to do what they did to the boy, who was really guilty only of being a little obnoxious. It isn't pointed-out enough here that the forum still did let him speak after Kerry interceded, & even the "blowjob" comment later was within context..

@Reggieworth Good point. So it may be a reflex for people so engaged to rationalize actions like this, but still I thinks, not likely quite so....relentlessly.That implies extra "incentive". Our society HAS become a police-state in direct contravention of it's founding principles. With the *choke* "Patriot Act" & now the even more outrageously totalitarian NDAA, the president becomes defacto-dictator! No ifs ands or buts! The increased staffing is just follow-through for that trend

@Reggie Yes,'mama c's money' does those things continuously.. 'has ever since 1st showing on these comment boards. I just returned after many months of not looking at them and still he's here, on nearly every one, with the same laughably transparent distortions. I don't think he's so stupid. the problem is simply a cynically dishonest agenda. He's one of many here to "normalize" this authoritarian, police-state behavior & to steer people from the very serious issues this kid raised.
