Crisis Pregnancy Centers: A Special Report

Hunter Stuart takes a close look at "crisis pregnancy centers," some of which are federally funded, that often give out inaccurate medical information, prosthelytize and use shame and scare stactics when counseling women. For instance, in the video, one crisis pregnancy center counselor tells a young woman that abortion increases her risk of breast cancer by 100%. The sources for this claim are studies published over 25 years ago and now thoroughly debunked. The WHO, whose 1970 report the crisis pregnancy center's literature cites, now states clearly on its website that abortion does not affect a woman's risk of contracting breast cancer. Wonderful video. These "crisis pregnancy centers" run by religious groups hand out lies and misinformation to women and should all be shut down. It would be more helpful to spend our tax dollars on preventing pregnancy, with cheap and easy access contraception.

Wow, this video is so bias it's not even funny. The fact that anyone would choose to purposely end the life of an unborn child, because it's convenient for them, because it's their "choice", is abominable . What "right" does anyone have to make the decision for the unborn child? I bet if you asked the baby, he/she would chose life always.

Thanks to all the brave young women and men who created this video. It's horrifying to watch the anti-choice community systematically chip away at our harn-won rights. How can the Federal Government cut funding to education and give money to these monsters? Enough is enough.

I don't whether CPCs give out false information. I'm pro-life and my opinion about abortion isn't based on the information that CPCs give out.

CPCs overwhelmingly DO NOT lie about the effects of abortion. The link between abortion and increased risk of breast cancer is well-established. Only one published study has found no link; a couple dozen have confirmed the link. Plus, while it often takes years or decades to show up, the risk of depression, suicide, substance abuse, etc., is FAR higher among post-abortion women than the general population. Stop lying, NARAL, NOW, NAF, and Planned Parenthood!

WOW!  I can't believe this information...I can't believe they would actually put these lies into this video. All you have to do is a little research and you can find out for yourself that the information that the CPC puts out IS ACCURATE.
