@viiietdude Is it really important that Riot has to release info abt how much they hv earned? This has nothing to do with how good LoL or DoTA is dude. There is no offical annoucement from any source saying that DoTA has 14 mil active global, there is ONLY an estimation based on map downloads since it is too hard to track the amount of players for an offline game. Moreover, i dont think 11mil active players are included their clones ( it is an online game, IP adress..hello?)

I might be a fanboy of Dota but at least I have a brain that functions properly. Are you really going to believe everything Riot feeds you? They don't even release data about how much profit they make... let alone actual correct statistics of how many people were logged into the game at a given moment. If you read the illustration they made, it says 11.5 million ACTIVE MONTHLY accounts. Of those accounts it's safe to say 2-3 m are smurfs. LoL has no more than 11.5 m ACTIVE people.

So where is this magical 40 million from? There's a reason Riot likes to feed their community baloney. They release a silly chart with rounded up/bloated figures and their fans go wild. If you read the latest illustration they made, it clearly says they have 11.5 million active MONTHLY ACCOUNTS. There are at least 2-3 million smurfs/double accounts. 11.5m minus 2-3m = 8.5-9.5 million active players. Dota is mostly played on 3rd party clients. 12-14 million active global players

If a game is based off of an existing game that was hugely popular and still is (Dota) then they have a right to compare. If you have a cat, and I have a cat, I can compare the cats even if they are of a different breed. Why are people from LoL so stupid some times? You say 32 million when on the chart it says 32.5 million accounts have been registered. That doesn't = active players. It means that ever since LoL was launched it has had that many accounts made.
