Victory at Sea: Suicide for Glory
Okinawa
Victory at Sea is a documentary TV series about naval warfare during World War II that was originally aired by NBC in 26 half-hour segments on Sunday afternoons, starting October 26, 1952, and ending May 3, 1953. It is now in the public domain.
After Okinawa the Japanese still had at least five thousand airplanes ready for the invasion of the home islands. You can imagine how much damage they could have done.

A wonderful documentary! Thank you for posting this; for my part, this is the definitive work on WWII. The score, footage and marvelous narration by Leonard Graves is peerless!
