Just a quick demonstration of setting up an Audio PA system - using the Midas Venise 320 Mixing Console. Learn how to use insert cables to insert a graphic eq on the group mix so that it will only tweak and tune anything that is assigned to that group.

  • So in this case if you would want to insert another instrument you wouldn't be able to do right?

because the mixer does not offer another insert, is this right?

  • @elpilito1990

there are inserts all over - you can apply to each individual channel, groups, and the master channel

  • Why are you inserting a graphic eq on that group... instead of eq ing the mics on the channel strip? you should be able to correct frequency issues with the venice eq's on the channel strip which probably sound way better than the graph you are using... just my 2 cents... most live guys only use graphs to correct for various frequncy issues do to the rooms characteristics. Not for the mics. Let me know your theory behing what u r doing....cool thanks.

  • @pozvibes

You can still use the channel strip! Im only using the graphic eq to "ring out" the mics -

This helps when u only have say one EQ like I did - and you have multiple mics.

And yes most live guys do use this technique -

  • Great Vid man!!!! I have a question...I have a Y spliter cable with RCA L&R on one side. Im gonna add 1/4 jack adaptors to them, but which one will be send and which will be return??/ Hope you can help dude!!!!

  • @GFACE83

If you are trying to "insert" with that type of cable it will not work - A regular insert cable is wired differently - its not a standard Y Cable -

1/4 inch uses pin2 (tip) for send - and pin3 (ring for return

  • @chetoos008 That makes no sense at all! First of all, its insert cables, using a different brand of cable is not going to make the EQ or compressor "sound better" - an insert just combines more processors to the mixing board. As long as the cable is not cut, or has a "short" in it - it won't matter - Its not like a video cable-

  • @mrsscallywags I was using Hosa Cables when I started. Then I moved on to LiveWire cables and now I use Monster Cables. The signal is stronger in the Monster cables and they are very durable. Trust me, when you use Monster TRS you will hear a difference in the sound quality.

I really hope I don't actually have to define the word upgrade to you.

Btw, that's a sick ass board nigguh. I use Allen&Heath and PreSonus

but I've heard really good things about Midas Boards.

  • @chetoos008 UPgrade the cables?! lol What the hell does that mean!?

What is wrong with the Cables???

  • You might want to spend a little more money upgrading your cables dude.

  • my god man you sound like will smith lol

  • Just Say No !

  • Terrible description - In fact there was no description!

Ahright - stay tuned - yea - like - yeah like - ya know what I mean?
