Yes, they were rushed to production by order of the British government since millions of dollars had been spent in development and research. The workers were not experienced in building cars, so the 1st 500 cars had some glitches. The later build cars (which this one is) had a better quality to them and less glitches. Delorean Motor Company is back in business now and all the glitches have been dealt with. It's possible to own a daily driver Delorean today.
Looks just like mine, except I have a gas flap hood. I even have the Flux Capacitor, it was a gift from my loving girlfriend. By my book, a girl that gives you a Flux Capacitor is someone you should keep around. :D
