A drummer is tired of people saying that drummers are stupid so decides to learn guitar. After many years of study and practice he considers himself a competent guitarist and confidently walks into the shop.

Drummer: I'd like a Fender Stratocaster.

Pretty cool. I've written a few songs. I can only seem to write songs in the blues, though. I'm afraid otherwise it will sound "poppish" like today's bands. Here's a cool chord progression to try out (wrote it meself) (Swing it): I (for 1 measure), IV (half a measure), V (last half of the measure) (rinse, lather, repeat). It's best played as power chords swinging between the fifth and sixth notes, emphasizing the second and fourth beats. It's really fun to solo to :)
