  • @Thomaesa Be careful of how you view others and their culture. You are drawing upon the thin line of judgement and condemnation. It is only God who knows the hearts and minds of His people. You may view it as idolatry because the use of a symbol, hand gestures, and calls, but there are many people who view the Christian cross, baptism, and communion symbols of idolatry as well. We know that these are only symbols of our faith and not the God we worship.

  • @HunnyLuv82 Calm down what you gonna do cast a spell on me LOL I don't care who or what you worship so you can get off your soap box...

  • @Thomaesa Most black greek organizations are founded upon Christian principles with the intent to serve their communities. Don't be so quick to call this idolatry, when I'm pretty sure you have some "name brand" product like Tide or CocaCola in your house right now. And if I was to go by your idea of idolatry, just you having a Sony TV would make you guilty of idolatry as well. All I'm saying is be careful of what you say about others, you may bring condemnation to your own house by doing so.

  • @Thomaesa The same goes for any organization, business, group, etc. Symbols only connect us to larger things in our society. If it wasn't for the universal use of the Red STOP sign, I wouldn't know to stop at a four way intersection. I don't worship it, but I do recognize it as something I connect with. Idolatry happens when humans make something that is in earth or in heaven into a god. They worship it, pray to it, believe in it, bring gifts to it, and serve it as if it was the Almighty God.

  • @sinfonian3 it would be pointless to let you know how educated I am on the subject so I will just let that comment go...

  • @Thomaesa are you serious? Who worships idols? You should get away from them as fast as you can... Please learn a bit more about CHRISTIAN founded organizations like the NPHC fraternities and sororities. Education is a must... you scare me.
