  • @duron5966 Hey duron, thanks for dropping by and watching my videos, much appreciated :-) I've now posted more washing instructions for removing the cold wax (see comment below. I'm not sure which country you're in, but one brand name is JAVANA. For more info you might like to visit my site How-to-Paint-on-Silk

  • @18p324 Hi there EJ Deng, there are several different brands of cold wax for silk dyeing on the market, and it will depend on who your silk painting supplier is in your country.

As for removing the cold wax, it's super duper easy! AFTER steam setting the handpainted silk, I put the silk in a lingerie washing bag, and put it in the washing machine -- on the gentlest cycle. This removes ALL the cold wax. If you wash by hand, you'll have a much harder time removing it. Hope this helps :-)

  • @jogryant Hey Jogry, I'm so pleased you enjoyed this! Have you had a chance to test it out yet? Let me know, I'd love to hear your results :-)

  • Let me see if I have this right...you can steam-set, then wash the wax out after? It sounds like a great idea. The one EJ Deng, asked about cold wax brands, I would like to know about that too.

  • i would like to ask about what cold wax is and brands that sell it

i woud also like to know if it can be removed easily

    thx

    EJ Deng

  • HiTeena,
