@zeeshan66 yeah, ever seen a baby with so-so dexterity try to pick up a flat piece of banana from the soft edges? it gives them a proper edge to grab. it's like a drunk person trying to pick up a wet bar of soap. they're not going to eat the peel.

I think that the reason the banana is not peeled is because it will be all mushy when the child squeezes it without the peel. If the banana has a peel around it he will eat the middle and not the outside.
