Tali was able to interview Steven and Dan from GreenBlock. GreenBlock is a manufacturer of insulated concrete forms. The business started in the 1960's, and came to America in the 80's. The concrete forms can be pieced together, and interlaced with Rebar. The forms are then filled in with concrete. Because of the concrete, as well as the polystyrene, the forms are very insulated, and have a very high R-value. The product itself is very energy efficient, and qualifies for LEED points. the Product is composed of 40-50% recycled material. The foam itself is 100% recyclable. The product is manufactured in Idaho and Colorado. It can be purchased locally at Greenblock.com, as well as through their 800 number.

@Ezzequiel2517 I think u are a little confused...the whole reason for this system is that you want to leave the foam form in place for two reasons. The first and most important reason is that the foam form is now providing your insulation. The second reason is less labor if you just can leave the form structure than having to remove it like you traditionally had to do. That's the genius behind this system..getting to keep the form.

So once the concrete is cured, can you remove the foam? The inner sides have ribs, Im assuming this makes the concrete sturdier... Wouldnt it be nice to include other patterns? For example ICFs with stucco texture, wait for the curing, remove the foam and bam! There you go, you just saved expensive and time consuming stucco finishing... ;)
