Connecticuts red ink affects everyone, even residents with Alzheimers, dementia-related disorders and their caregivers.
These caregivers and their families rely on the Statewide Respite Program. The program, which is under Connecticuts Department of Social Services, provides respite care for people with Alzheimers disease or related disorders, regardless of age, who are not enrolled in the Connecticut Homecare Program for Elders (CHCPE).
